Grade 1 Fall SeasonUpdated Tuesday June 13, 2017 by Bruce Willinger.
The program for the Fall season for 1st grade players is a transition from our Kindersoccer program into our traditional program that is run in grades 2 and up.
Players will have one weeknight practice session per week. This session is run by professional trainers and is offered on several nights. Players are allowed to attend one session per week. This can be on any of the offered nights. Just bring your child on the night that works best for you in that particular week. The practice schedule will be announced about 2 weeks before the first game day (September 23rd for Fall 2017).
Players will have their game day on Saturday. Each team will have an assigned schedule that will be available about 1 week before the first game day. Please note that the game time will vary from week to week. They will usually start anywhere between 9am and 11:30am and last 1 hour.
The game day is overseen by a professional trainer who will direct volunteer helpers (parent coaches). The parent coaches will be given a group of players to coach for the day. You will play 3-4 different objective games during a game day. This is the first step in learning how to work with the players.
Please consider signing up to be a volunteer coach! Many of our coaches find it to be a fun and rewarding experience. No previous soccer experience necessary!
The registration fee covers a full uniform set (jersey, shorts and socks), ball and participation award. It also covers the cost of the professional trainer(s) for the practices and game day.
